Founded in 2011 by Anna-Maria Lundström-Törnblom and Maria Tollemark, Wakakuu was created with a clear vision: to offer a refined shopping destination where timeless fashion meets contemporary style. What began as a passion for quality fashion and entrepreneurship has grown into one of the Nordic region’s leading platforms for premium and luxury fashion.

At Wakakuu, we handpick the best pieces from over 100 of the most sought-after fashion brands. Our curated selection includes both established and emerging labels from across the Nordic region and the international fashion scene. Each item is chosen with care – focusing on craftsmanship, style, and versatility – to offer a wardrobe that is both modern and enduring.

In 2019, we launched Wakakuu Icons, our in-house brand, with the ambition to create timeless wardrobe staples for the modern woman. With three thoughtfully designed collections per year, Wakakuu Icons blends classic tailoring, refined fabrics, and clean silhouettes. Every piece is created to seamlessly complement your everyday and elevated looks.

“Wakakuu” is a Japanese term meaning young at heart – a name that reflects our belief in feeling confident, vibrant, and beautiful in what you wear. It also pays homage to our co-founder’s Japanese heritage, symbolizing the fusion of cultural inspiration that defines the brand.

Six months after launching our online store, we opened our flagship boutique in Hovås, just outside Gothenburg. The store offers a curated physical extension of our digital platform – where customers can explore materials, experience garments in person, and enjoy personalized service in an inspiring environment.
